Caring for the lambs of the Good Shepherd’s flock.

Philosophy and Goals:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Early Childhood center is a Christian preschool committed to:

(I) sharing Christ’s love in word and deed with students and their families and

(II) joyfully preparing children for a lifetime of learning and service to their neighbor.

It is our goal to provide a safe, loving, Christian learning environment. Throughout the day children will experience a Christian setting in which they grow, learn, and develop socially, physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually.

Our philosophy is that:

  • A child should be encouraged to explore the wonders of God in the world around them and the special gift of Jesus.

  • A child learns best in a safe, nurturing environment.

  • A child’s environment should promote active exploration in all areas of development: social, physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual.

  • Play is an essential component in a child’s development.

  • A child learns best through educational experiences that are developmentally appropriate

  • Each child is an individual who learns in his/her own way and at his/her own pace.

  • Learning is an interactive process between the teachers and the children. Children learn from each  other as well as from role models.
