Things to Do with Kids in Pleasant Prairie
Pleasant Prairie is proud to be a family friendly destination. Here are some fantastic local things to do with kids.
When it comes to inspiring the mind and stimulating the imagination in kids and parents alike, Pleasant Prairie knows how to play up our best assets. Explore nature, mess around, tap into their artsy side and laugh—a lot. All while making lasting family memories.
Looking for things to do with kids this winter? Here are some ideas!
Bristol Renaissance Faire
Lace up those bodices or boots and step into a different time at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. This summer favorite event is one of many great things to do with kids while visiting the Pleasant Prairie area. You and your family are sure to love all the food, games, rides and shopping the Faire has to offer. Be sure to take a lot of photos as you “party like it’s 1599.”
Ingram Park
A family adventure in Ingram Park is a great thing to do with kids — the two-legged ones AND the four-legged ones. Dogs can cool off in the huge, dog-bone shaped lake during the summertime. In the snowy winter months, the whole family can enjoy a thrilling zip down the awesome sledding hill.
Lake Andrea Beach
If your family loves waterside fun in the sun, be sure to make time to check out Lake Andrea Beach. Pack some sand toys and relax with a good book while your little ones build a sandcastle.
If you want to get out on the water, Froggy’s Landing can get you cruising with recreational watercraft rentals by the hour. Their five and 10-pack rental punch cards are perfect for frequent visitors! For some more active fun, hit up the excellent paved bike path around the lake.
Pinot's Palette
Let your kiddos get in touch with their artsy sides while you unwind with some “grown-up juice.” Pinot’s Palette offers their “Little Brushes” class which features a project designed specifically for kids. Check their calendar for specific dates or if you have something to celebrate and would like the place to yourselves, ask about booking a kids’ party.
Prairie Springs Park
Take the kids to exercise off some extra energy in Prairie Springs Park where there is plenty of space to run around. When they need a break from playing on one of two tot lot playgrounds, have a family picnic at one of the pavilions. If you’re up for it, take a stroll on the wooded trails and enjoy the natural spaces Prairie Springs Park has to offer.
Six Flags Great America
Six Flags Great America is the Midwest’s destination for thrilling rides, exhilarating arcade games, and just all-around family fun. At less than a 20-minute drive from Pleasant Prairie, Six Flags Great America is a perfect excursion if you’re looking for things to do with kids.
Swimming at RecPlex
Rainy days don’t have to put a damper on fun in Pleasant Prairie. RecPlex has got you covered with its 17,000-square-foot indoor water park that is open year-round! The zero-depth entry allows even your littlest swimmer to make a splash in the pool!
