Visit Pleasant Prairie is proud to announce a new, custom-roasted coffee blend developed in collaboration with East View Coffee Company.
The new blend, aptly called the Pleasant Prairie Blend, is a smooth medium roast with rich tasting notes including milk chocolate and honey which compliments the welcoming nature visitors and residents find in Pleasant Prairie.
In preparation for opening its first Welcome Center, Visit Pleasant Prairie’s Executive Director, Sarah Howard, had the idea of the custom blend so that the center’s visitors are greeted with the offer of a freshly brewed cup of coffee (in addition to tea or water).
“I wanted to set the tone of what people can expect from us when they first step into the center – authenticity and attention to detail. Everything in this space showcases our boutique approach to tourism in addition to the people and places that make our community unique,” said Howard.
Howard reached out to Jenny Ulbricht, owner of East View Coffee Company, where Ulbricht guided the process and provided various flavor profiles to taste test – but one blend stood out among the rest.
“Jenny created a masterpiece in roasting the Pleasant Prairie Blend,” said Howard.
“It has been a delight teaming up with Sarah at Visit Pleasant Prairie, on one of my favorite coffees to create,” said Ulbricht. “The blend celebrates our sense of place and reflects our natural beauty, community, and connections to each other.”
The Pleasant Prairie Blend will also be available to purchase 3oz bags at the Visit Pleasant Prairie Welcome Center later this spring, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening. In the meantime, get a sneak peek of the Welcome Center (located at 4721 75th Street in Pleasant Prairie in the building shared with The Gratzi) as a stop on the #VPPEggHunt, going on now through March 31!
This new coffee is the latest addition to Visit Pleasant Prairie’s line of signature merchandise, preceded by two exclusive candle scents created through a collaboration with local vendor, Repoured Candle Company.
