The Great Outdoors
A big fan of the outdoors? Lake Andrea offers 110 acres of wet fun and kayaking. Don’t worry if you packed light on this trip. Froggy’s Landing Boat Rental can get you out on the water. Anglers ready for the open waters can check out Kenosha charters to fish on Lake Michigan. And if land is more your style, don’t pass up the opportunity while out in Prairie Springs Park to hike a wonderful network of trails.
Classic Wisconsin Eats
For a classic taste of Pleasant Prairie, book a table for two at The Village Supper Club. Or, for something a little more casual, a pint at the Starlite Club is in order, or dinner, drinks, and games at Johnny’Z Pour House will surely hit the spot.
Shopping
No getaway is complete without some shopping. Lucky for you, we are home to the Pleasant Prairie Premium Outlets, an outdoor mall with over 80 stores. You’ll find your favorite brands, like kate spade new york, Levi’s, Nike, and The North Face, at unbelievable prices. Don’t forget to bring something home to share. The Shoppes at Prairie Ridge can help you with that too! Check out one of their specialty shops like Nothing Bundt Cakes and pick up one of 10 delicious flavors for your coworkers or friends back home.
Bring the Kids
Kids who love the outdoors will have a great time exploring Prairie Springs Park, or taking a leisurely bike ride on the Kenosha County Bike Trail. The whole family can reach for the sky with the help of Bristol’s outdoor ropes course, Boundless Adventures. Once you’ve all worked up an appetite, stop by the Shoppes at Prairie Ridge where you’ll find a wide variety of dining options; something even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy!
If you’re craving some sports action, the RecPlex is the place to be. Day passes are not available, but visitors can get a one-week pass to enjoy the vast athletic center, an indoor waterpark, Olympic-sized swimming pool, and dual NHL-sized skating rink. Passes are also available for Lake Andrea Beach for more outdoor fun in the summertime!
Pets Welcome
There’s no reason to leave Fido at home. Stay at one of our pet-friendly hotels (Fairfield Inn & Suites, DoubleTree, or Days Inn) and let man’s best friend in on the fun. Make new furry friends at the Ingram Park dog park with separate sections for large and small dogs. When it’s time for a walk, there’s the Donald Hackbarth Trail and Prairie Farms Trail, as well as the paved path around Lake Andrea. For that 4-legged friend who earned a special treat, you’ll need to visit Bentley’s Pet Stuff, a unique pet boutique Lassie will love.
Creative Fun
If you’re looking to add a creative spark to your evening, then pull up an easel at Pinot’s Palette. This paint and sip studio provides everything you need to create your own work of art in a fun setting. But don’t let the creativity stop there! Next door is the Fred Astaire Dance Studio which offers classes in everything from salsa and two-step to the tango and is sure to sweep you off your feet.
Enjoy Bird Watching
Grab your binoculars, birders! This is a happy place for nature lovers. We are home to Prairie Springs Park with more than 900 acres of greenery open to the public year-round. Chiwaukee Prairie, a rare example of an untouched Midwestern landscape that has received international acclaim, also provides a lovely background for birdwatching. The Des Plaines River and surrounding wetlands can yield views of thousands of migratory birds during spring and summer.
