HARIBO Facility Begins Production
Haribo’s Pleasant Prairie manufacturing facility has officially begun producing the company’s well-known gummi treats, with a focus on their classic Goldbears Gummi Bears. This facility is planned to a multi-phase project. The first phase that's now complete included the production facility, an administrative building and a warehouse. Future phases are in development and could include interactive opportunities for visitors, new technology, additional capacity and an increased number of employees. Learn more...
HARIBO Water Tower
The whimsically eye-catching HARIBO water tower, painted by Eric Henn Murals, was in the running for 2023 Tnemec Tank of the Year! In October it was announced that HARIBO's gummi-themed tower placed #10 in the People's Choice category. Construction Progress Celebrated
On July 15, 2021 (#NationalGummiBearDay!), HARIBO shared the progress of their first-ever North American manufacturing facility with community partners. U.S. production of these sweet gummi treats will be happening in the near future in Pleasant Prairie and with that bringing hundreds of career opportunities to southeastern Wisconsin.
Construction Has Begun!
A private groundbreaking ceremony was held in December 2020 to mark the beginning of the first phase of construction. At the completion of the first phase, Haribo is anticipating having 450 full-time employees in the production facility, 44 full-time employees in the warehouse, and 20 part-time employees.
The company hopes to be in production by 2023.

HARIBO Manufacturing Plant (Phase 1)
On Monday, May 11, 2020, facility plans were approved by the Village of Pleasant Prairie. This will be HARIBO's first-ever North American plant. HARIBO Site and Operational Plans
On Monday, May 13, 2019, the Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission considered and approved the Preliminary Site and Operational Plans for HARIBO of America Manufacturing, LLC.
Learn more about building phases which will include production, warehouse, and administrative office spaces, distribution buildings, a multi-story parking structure, and gatehouse, a retail store open to the public, and daycare and fitness center for its employees and the Phase I ground-breaking which is planned for late Spring 2020.
